Welcome to the front page of an IDS (Individual Directed Study) student!
Over the next semester, I will be keeping track of my progress and work on this blog. The topic on which this blog will be focused on is history and the main ideas are as follows:
The Cold Wars
- The Korean War
- The Chinese Civil War
These two wars give good examples of two totally different types of conflicts succeeding WWII; whether it’s an inner conflict or a political game put on by old enemies dating back into the world wars.
Some things I will be looking for are:
- Politics – The roles of the players and the decision makers
- Social impact – The people who were encouraged, the people’s take/loss
The Depressions:
- The Great Depression (focus: US)
- The Japanese Asset Bubble
- The Asian Financial Crisis
These are major depressions in succession throughout history. Starting with the Great depression, it connects all the main topics together as it was also influenced by WWII (in a positive way). As for the last two depressions, they will give a more in-depth look at how these peaks happen and the strategies in which the country(ies) took to recover from them.
Some things I will be looking for are:
- The social cause – What influenced the choice of people during that time?
- Stock/Prices patterns and how
- Political impact – Who were saved and who took the blow? What led to their choices and why?
As of this, I will continue editing this blog and its’ pages. As of now, I have taken up exactly 3 minutes of your life and I thank you for your cooperation. *bow*
